Advanced Dental Technology - Fort Lauderdale, FL

Creating Positive, Comfortable Experiences for All Patients

Dr. Quintanal is focused on providing patients with innovative and comfortable orthodontic experiences. One way of doing this is by incorporating new technologies into the treatment plans of those looking to straighten their teeth. Using CBCT scanners, iTero digital scanner, and a 3D printer, he can deliver more precise and accurate results. If you’re interested in learning more about the advanced dental technology in Fort Lauderdale that we use in-house, feel free to call our office to review the information below.

CBCT Scanner

Our CBCT Scanner is a highly innovative piece of equipment that captures hundreds of images and builds a three-dimensional model of a patient’s mouth and head. The reason for this in-depth viewpoint is that Dr. Quintanal can easily examine the nerves, blood vessels, jawbone, and other nearby structures when crafting a patient’s treatment plan. This allows for more accurate results, as he can determine how the teeth will shift to produce beautiful, straighter smiles.

Digital Dental Impressions

Using our iTero digital impression system allows us to eliminate the need for messy dental putty and instead scan teeth and gums using a handheld device. Equipped with a small camera on the end, the wand takes pictures of a patient’s smile, while advanced software builds a three-dimensional model on a nearby screen. Making changes as necessary, we can then send it to our 3D printer to create a treatment model.

3D Printer

Many orthodontists must send three-dimensional models to area labs so that technicians can build aligners; however, Oceanside Orthodontics offers a more convenient approach with the help of a 3D printer. Whether it is clear aligners that a patient needs or a model of their jaw and teeth for traditional braces preparation, our 3D printer can deliver outstanding results that lead to straighter, healthier smiles.
